PERPINYÀ: UNA CIUTAT CATALANA A FRANÇA/ PERPINYÀ: A CATALAN CITY IN FRANCE

Barcelona es troba propera a França i els seus habitants tenim l'oportunitat de visitar aquest país molt sovint. Un grup d'amics vam decidir arribar-nos-hi , tan sols dues hores en cotxe, i visitar la ciutat durant un dia. Perpinyà és una ciutat situada al sud-est de França, i és coneguda com la catalana. La ciutat no és gran, una 120.000 habitants, i sentiràs una barreja entre cultura francesa i catalana.

És una ciutat ideal per passar-hi un dia passejant, gaudint dels seus monuments o prenent un cafè a alguna de les seves plaçes.

Barcelona is close to France and their citizens have the chance to visit this country  very often. A group  of friends decided to get to  Perpinyà, just two hours by car, and visit the city during one day. Perpinyà is a city located in the south- east of France, and it is known as the catalan. The city is not big, around 120.000 habitants, and you will feel a mixture between french and catalan culture.

It is and ideal city to spend one day walking, enjoying its  monuments or drinkink a coffee in some of its squares.

Què fer?

Hi ha alguns monuments la visita dels quals és obligada. Per exemple, al costat del canal podràs admirar El Castellet, el símbol de la ciutat i un bon exemple d'arquitectura militar. Va ser construït durant el segle XIV i ha tingut diferent usos però avui és un museu.

El Palau del Reis de Mallorca és una plaça forticada d'estil gòtic. Es torba situada a un turó des d'on es pot contemplar la muntanya del Canigó.

No et pots perdre La Catedral de Sant Joan i La Llotja de Mar , que es troba al costat de la Plaça de la República , el centre vital de Perpinyà.

What to do?

There are some interesting monument which are a must. For instance, next the channel you will admire El castellet, the symbol of the city and a good example of militat arquitecture. It was built in the XIV century and it has had  different uses but today it is a museum.

The Palace of Kings of Majorca is a fortified  place in the gotic style. It is located on a hill where you can contemplate the Canigo mountain. It remains to us that Perpinyà was a long time ago the capital of the Kingdom of Majorca.

You can not miss the Sant Joan Cathedral and the Llotja del mar which is next to the Plaça de la República, the vital center of Perpinyà.

MUNIC: La capital de Baviera/ MUNICH: The Bavarian capital

Munic és una ciutat molt interesant, no lluny de Barcelona, tot just a dues hores de vol. La capital bavaresa es troba situada al sud - est d'Alemanya, a prop de la frontera amb Austríaca. Encara que la ciutat va ser destruïda durant la Segona Guerra Mundial, ha estat completament reconstruïda.
 El seu centre no és gran, fàcilment accesible en transport públic, i n'hi haurà prou amb dos dies per visitar-lo. Es podrà admirar la seva arquitectura  i els seus carrers plens de vida. El nadal aquí és impressionant a causa dels seus mercats i les seves llums.


 Munich is a very interesting city,  not far away from Barcelona, just two hours if you get there flying. The Bavarian capital is located in the South -East  of Germany, close to the austrian border.  Althought the city was destroyed during the Second Worl War, it has been completely rebuilt.
 Central city is not big, easy to get using public transport, and two days will be enough to visit it. There you will admire its arquitecture and vibrant streets. Christmas time is awesome for its markets and lights

Evidentment ens trobem a Alemanya, per tant una cervesa és una obligació. No et pots pedre la famosa Hofbräuhaus, encara que sempre està plena de gent i trobar una cadira és difícil.
Passejar pels carrers del centre és molt relaxant, allà on aneu hi ha carrers per a vianants i gaudireu dels grups que toquen al carrer. Hi ha algunes portes medievals: Karlstor,Isartor i Siegestor.
Caminar entre les portes de Karlstor i Siegestor és un plaer ja que arribem a l'edifici neogòtic de l'ajuntament nou. Aquí gaudiràs del seu famós Carrillon, una original representació d'un torneig medieval per celebrar una casament. A les onze i al migdia un mecanisme es posa en funcionament i permet als que ho veuen gaudir de l'espectacle.
Al centre, hi ha altres llocs d'interès, com per exemple el mercat del menjar, la catedral amb les seves dues torres de 85 metres , l'edifici de l'ajuntament vell el centre jueu i la sinagoga...

Obviously if you are in German, a beer is a must. You cannnot miss the famous Hofbräuhaus, althought is permanently full of people and sometimes get a chair is difficult.
Walking in the central city is very pleasant, everywhere you are there are pedestrian streets and you will enjoy from  streets bands playing. There are some medievals gates: Karlstor, Isartor and Siegestor.
Walking between Isartor and Karlstor gate is a pleasure because you arrive to  the neogothic building of the new City Hall. Here  will admire it famous Carrillon, an original  representation of a medieval tournament to celebrate a wedding. At eleven o'clock and at noon , a mechanism is started up and allows watchers to enjoy the performance.
 There are other places of interest in the central city, such as: The food market, the catedral with its 85 metres towers, the Old City Hall building and  the jewish center and the synagogue...

Arribarem aquí per gaudir del Jardí Anglès. Es tracta d'un gran jardí urbà situat al costat del riu Isar. Pots admirar la torre xinesa i un llac on es practica surf gràcies a onades artificials.



North of the old city
You get there to enjoy the English Garden. It is a big urban garden located next to the river Isar. You can admire the Chinese tower and a lake in which surf is practiced due to artificial waves.
